EICMA 2026 opened its doors in Milan on 3 November, and the 2027 model year is taking shape. For riders of naked and neo-retro bikes it’s a good year: two new hyper-nakeds at the top, a crowded A2 class at the bottom, and a few retro bikes that could matter more than any of them.

Here’s what we know as of 5 November 2026, sorted by how sure it is. Prices are German list prices where announced. Swiss and other European prices usually follow a few weeks later.

Confirmed: price and date announced

Bike Engine Power What we know
BMW M 1000 RS Inline-four (from the M 1000 RR) 218 hp 196 kg fuelled, limited to 1,000 units, €40,000, dealers from March 2027
Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP 1,103 cc V4 214 hp 188 kg without fuel, 500 units, €36,990, dealers from March 2027
BMW F 450 R 420 cc parallel twin 48 hp A2-ready naked, 175 kg, 790 mm seat, from €6,490
Moto Guzzi The Trip Parallel twin just under 48 hp A2 naked, 180 kg, around €6,000 expected, dealers early 2027
Yamaha MT-125 125 cc single (unchanged) – New face and tank for 2027, due in Europe in Q1

The headline numbers belong to BMW. The M 1000 RS is the most powerful naked BMW has built. With 218 hp it’s more a superbike without a fairing than a road bike. The Ducati answers with carbon wheels and a smaller run.

The more important bikes are the 48 hp ones. The F 450 R and The Trip are aimed squarely at the A2 licence limit of 35 kW. They’re light, affordable and modern, and they’re where most new riders will start. More on that in our 2026 trends piece.

Rumoured: Honda GB500

This is the one retro fans keep asking about. Here’s what’s solid and what isn’t.

What’s confirmed:

  • In July 2026 Honda revealed the CB500 for India: a new 501 cc air- and oil-cooled single with 28 hp and 43.3 Nm. It has a five-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, switchable traction control, a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, twin rear shocks, dual-channel ABS, full LED lights and a round instrument. It’s on sale in India in three versions: cast wheels, tubeless spoked wheels, and spoked with pinstripes.
  • Honda filed the GB 500 name as a trademark in the US on 12 November 2024, and at the EU trademark office two days later.
  • The smaller GB350 S has been sold in Europe since 2025: a 348 cc single with 21 hp, around €4,709 in Germany.

What isn’t: any European launch. Asked directly, Honda UK said it has no comment on possible additions to its European range.

Our read: a European GB500 or GB500S makes sense. The engine exists, the name is protected, and 28 hp sits comfortably inside the A2 limit with room above the GB350 S. Press estimates put a price north of €5,000. EICMA 2027 is the earliest realistic reveal. Treat the “2027 GB500 is here” videos online as wishful thinking until Honda says otherwise.

The original GB500 TT was a 1985 café racer for Japan, with an air-cooled four-valve single of about 38 hp. It was later sold briefly in the US and as the GB 500 Clubman in Germany. Used ones are rare and sought after.

Also in the pipeline

  • BMW R 20. BMW has said the big-boxer roadster from its 2024 Villa d’Este concept will go into production. No name, specs or date yet.
  • Honda V3R 900. The production version of Honda’s electrically supercharged V3 is still expected. There’s no series date, and a sporty RR version isn’t expected before mid-2027.

Already here: Honda CB1000F

Not new for 2027, but worth a mention if you’re shopping now. Honda’s CB1000F arrived in Europe in spring 2026. It’s built on the CB1000 Hornet’s 998 cc inline-four (around 124 PS), with styling that nods to the CB900F of the early 1980s. The German price starts at €12,329, and a Carbon Edition is limited to 300 units in Europe.
